If you’re in Canada Google maps tells you the Gulf of Mexico is parenthetically the Gulf of America.

Live radio is great. Here’s Jerry Sereda, playing for us on Information radio live at RRC. What a dude.

The Seine itself is still pretty open. The single track along it is all kinds of pretty too. Time to put the phone away and enjoy the run home. Thanks for coming along.

Here’s where the Seine meets the red (aka the little forks)

Big shout out to the massive cottonwoods in Whittier park. Who says BC gets to have all the big trees?

The single track along the Red at Whittier park is picture perfect right now.

Watching this ice patch break apart under the Provencher bridge is a whole vibe. Bit of a low key surprise ending too.

The historic port in #winnipeg at the forks is looking tidy. Things are pretty open though still once you get into the red.

So far things are freezing pretty smoothly, except for right around the hugo docks and a couple other patches along Armstrong point. Now, onto the Red.

Good news. The river is low enough that you can run along the shore all the way from Wolseley to the forks. There’s a few rocky bits and trees to hop over though.

I’m off for a run along the three main rivers in Winnipeg to see how they’re freezing up. Disclaimer, none are safe to walk on yet. Part 1: The Assiniboine.

Got a vasectomy. Went great until I passed out and bonked my face on the ground while watching the recovery video. Doc said after thousands of procedures I’m the first to bleed from the face. When people at work ask about my cuts just say “vasectomy” and keep walking. You should see their face.
