So the Manitoba government issued a press release today, declaring a big jump in full-time employment between August and September: 11,100 jobs.

We should start celebrating 36 as a milestone birthday. It’s the day you’ve been an adult longer than you’ve been a child.

I asked my 2 year old son what grown ups do. He said:

- make snacks
- turn on the tv
- go for hikes in the forest

He captured my essence perfectly.

Note to self: camping with a toddler and a baby when the sun doesn’t set until 10pm is an absolute disaster.

My kid is so stoked to grow up and I don’t have the heart to tell him it’s just paperwork and small talk.

We need to talk more about how goddamn hard it is to build an actual snowman. The conditions need to be just right and even then, the big ball will probably break on you at some point be covered in dirt.

I drove extra safely later that day.
Well I’m going to take up residence in a snow bank after calling CBC traffic with a tip and then when wrapping up the call Cory Funk said “drive safe out there” I said “you too. Oh no. No wait. Be safe… indoors.” 💀💀💀💀💀💀

Just heard on CBC Manitoba Radio - sounds like multi-vehicle crash on Abinojii Mekinah at St Mary’s Road - westbound/curbside lane?
Be careful out there. Drive slowly. Be safe.

The Seine itself is still pretty open. The single track along it is all kinds of pretty too. Time to put the phone away and enjoy the run home. Thanks for coming along.
