As fate approaches, I am sharing the farewell address of our first POTUS, who stepped aside and retired from office - www.battlefields.org/learn/primar.... He spoke of fights to come (which have come) to maintain freedoms and our form of government.

We failed. Today is not a day of celebration.

The day that matters.

Those who thought society would stand against evils, hopefully, have woken up to truth. The other side - oppressors and those who silently support their efforts - have awakened.

It is time to get to work, fighting darkness as it tries to extinguish the promise of light.
