and ff2 isn’t even terrible it’s just, like, not particularly important. I don’t recommend it not because I didn’t get any fun out of it but just because there’s a million other jrpgs you could play that are either more enjoyable or had a larger impact

in the grand scheme of things, 7,9, and 10 are all ranked p high. you have to keep in mind that the only game on this list that I wouldn’t recommend is ff2, everything else is a good time.
as for ffv, im just a job system sicko and it’s a refined version of ff3. the girls yearn for employment.

I played the first half of Remake when it came out and remember really enjoying (only stopped cuz I got distracted by other games) but I'm also a Kingdom Hearts enjoyer so I was already going in primed to like it.

- somehow i didn't realise this game is basically just the snes games but 3d. for some reason I thought it was a larger departure?
- i now understand the jokes made in the classic work "FF7: About Random Battles" (LegendaryFrog, 2004)
- i don't like that barret libs out on the bridge in disc 2

the characters make a lot of pop culture references for the sake of making pop culture references. and also they're, like, spy-coded. platforming is there.

- overall it ranks above x-2 as its minigames are slightly less tedious and i simply love a job system. but i truly do not understand how you ever play this game without following a guide.
next up: idk. didn't realise xiii isn't on switch idk what to do now.
