Dave Boliek, Auditor of North Carolina, walked past a protester waving an upside-down flag. He recently gained additional powers after Republicans stripped the Democratic governor of the authority to appoint the members of the State Board of Elections and gave it to the Republican state auditor.

Aggie Pride!!!
Movements often precede change. Sixty-five yrs ago, the A&T Four sparked not only change but the notion that change could come through any age. Those four FRESHMEN weren't disillusioned by their circumstances. They were empowered & emboldened. May we take the same stance & spark the same change. ⬇️

Last night I watched Magic School Bus with my 6-year-old and the episode "Inside Ralphie" talked about vaccines. I'm now 1000% sure my kid is more qualified to run DHHS than RFK Jr.

Families are still one of my favorite things to photograph. I didn't photograph many last year, but I think I'm going to change that this year.

NEW: Multiple data analyses show that the voters whose ballots were targeted by a North Carolina Supreme Court candidate are disproportionately Black, Democratic and young.

These are some of those voters’ stories.

He didn't get the name "Rate Hike Mike" for no reason. This was one of the NC election outcomes that puzzled me the most.
The average statewide rate will increase by 7.5% on June 1 and then increase again by the same amount on June 1, 2026.

"Nobody wants any increase, but the reality is with inflation and what these companies are spending out in claims, it was necessary."

Q&A: Why average statewide rate for NC homeowners insurance to increase by 7.5% on June 1
The North Carolina Department of Insurance announced the new rates last Friday. The insurance industry says inflation and climate change are driving up costs.

After St. Augustine’s University agreed to a controversial loan with a 26% interest rate, Self-Help Credit Union’s CEO offered one with a 9% rate, documents obtained by @indyweek.bsky.social and @theassemblync.bsky.social show.

The catch? SAU's current & former board chairs would have to resign.
