#NEWS: Cornwall Council and the local NHS are urging residents to hand back unused care equipment this winter.

Many items, like walking frames, crutches, beds and short-term loaned wheelchairs are left forgotten in people’s homes when no longer needed.

#NEWS: A sapling grown from the seed of a tree that survived the atomic blast at #Hiroshima has been planted at #Cornwall Council’s headquarters as a symbol of peace.

A special ceremony was held on the grounds of Lys Kernow last week.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting on-call firefighters.

Applicants must be 18 or over and live or work within five minutes of their local fire station.

Successful applicants will receive full training.

Over 400,000 journeys have been made, with The Moor in Falmouth and Newquay Railway Station the most popular locations.

#NEWS: CCTV shows the moment a gas canister exploded at a recycling facility in Bodmin.

In September, four fires were caused by gas canisters. Please take them to a Household Waste and Recycling Centre. Never put them out with your rubbish or recycling.
