This is a Mitchell’s Lorikeet, one of the Rainbow Lorikeet family. The breeding group of Mitchell’s at Paradise Park is an important resource for this beautiful, nectar-loving parrot which has sadly become extremely rare in the wild.

This is a Mitchell’s Lorikeet, one of the Rainbow Lorikeet family. The breeding group of Mitchell’s at Paradise Park is an important resource for this beautiful, nectar-loving parrot which has sadly become extremely rare in the wild.
