There’s one drawback to reading in the bath (apart from the occasional book dunking); if the book is good the water gets cold, then getting out is chilly. I am currently living this experience.

It’s a privilege to share touching moments with people in workshops Today, a 9yr old read aloud a poem recounting the day his parents told him they were divorcing. At the end of the day, a teacher showed me an otter poem he’d written, because he knew it was my kind of subject.

Back home after a wonderful day workshopping, to a pile of presents from Lush. They’ve used my poem ‘Street lights’ in some of their gifts again this Christmas, and always send gifts alongside the fee. Long soak in the bath tonight, for me. Ding dong merrily on high to you all!
