It's here. And the package design immediately takes me back to the 90's.

Most of the book was pages and pages of letters, printed in a way designed to make it difficult to photocopy them (particularly with early 90s copy machines).
The numbers on the block were page number, row and column. You look it up, enter the code, and the block explodes.

Well, it's not like you couldn't play level 11. It was there but you couldn't complete it because it contained a block that you couldn't get around with some numbers and letters on it. And that's where the book and the "dongle" concept comes in...
See that block next to the ball?

That purchase would give you a detailed manual and a few hints for what to do when you get stuck on the later levels. But most importantly, it gave you the keys to progress past level 10. How is that, you ask?

No, what you'd need to do instead is go to your local book shop (nobody had even thought of something like Amazon yet), and order the Oxyd book. It was 60 DM, which is roughly the same amount in today's US$, adjusted for inflation.

The Oxyd game series is not super well known, but much fewer people know why the company called itself "Dongleware".
Let's take a look at the distribution model of the original Oxyd game.
