You aren’t alone in your experience, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed by a large number of choices, especially choices you aren’t familiar with. However, your brain will learn to more efficiently compartmentalize that information the more you engage with the game. Think of it as growing pains.

That being said, I recognize that this solution is inelegant and not invulnerable to all types of propaganda, but it shuts down the most dangerous sort that could destroy a country. That being said, I am still looking for better solutions.

Therefore, I believe citizens should adopt a stubborn trust in their fellow countrymen. You may hate it and believe that you’re in the company of crazed lunatics, but you can’t afford to do otherwise. There can’t be an Us versus Them mentality that pits a country against itself.

A “meme” that I realize is a piece of propaganda meant to destabilize our society is the “Moderate is silly for trying to get Left and Right to get along because other side are monsters.” This erodes people people’s trust of the “other side”, which is ultimately destructive towards our society.

Because the common consumer has no idea what the effects of editing a certain gene will be, I believe that “Gene Therapy Consultants” will become a necessary occupation to assist families in their decisions and protect them from bad actors, like how a lawyer helps their client navigate complex laws.
