For like 10+ years before 1990, flight attendants and pilots whisked through airports with suitcases like we see today—with handles and wheels proportionate to their size. While travelers had no wheels or big suitcases with straps that toppled over tiny wheels. What was up with that?

We use so much less of our energy for lighting relative to 15 years ago…why? …Innovation (LED technology). I’ve come gradually to acknowledge that innovation, not human behavior modification, offers the fastest and surest path to climate salvation. Put your efforts there?

As an architect, I saw resistance to waterless urinals in my early career from elderly men with rural accents. Presumably they remembered outhouses. As they died off, resistance evaporated. As the WWII generation died off, we likewise have a new questioning of the value of democracy and capitalism?

I held the view that, aside from vibes, the economy of the last four years was rock’n until last month when I started fooling around with FRED (St Louis Fed economic stats online) and changed per capita average anything to median same-thing. Then the economic data didn’t look as good.

Someone remind me why crypto is protection against high inflation? I just graphed it out and it looks to me like Bitcoin prices sink with rising inflation just like most equities.

If you appreciated the Clinton presidency, as I did, despite the credible accusations of rape, please stop pushing for Gaetz’s disqualification based on his past with prostitutes. Push instead for his disqualification because he presents a unique menace to Americans who criticize the president.
