Last Saturday, on the first day of winter, and again today, COPCP members were out shoveling and salting for senior and disabled neighbors. This free service, powered by our incredible volunteers, ensures no one in our community is left behind during the snow.

From spreading cheer to snow salt, THANK YOU Jose! Earlier this week, he suited up as Santa at our toy giveaway, bringing smiles to countless kids. Yesterday, he was back at it—this time with a shovel and salt in hand—clearing snow to make sure the food pantry could serve families in need.

A huge thank you to Resorts World NYC for helping us bring even more warmth to this Thanksgiving. With their support, we were able to deliver additional turkeys to neighbors in need, ensuring more families can enjoy a special holiday meal.

We’re also grateful to the NYPD 102nd & 106th Precinct Community Affairs officers who helped distribute turkeys, & to CB9 Queens Chairwoman Sherry Algredo, who stepped in to assist with the chickens.

At the Ozone Park Pantry, we distributed turkeys, halal chickens, salmon, fresh produce, & more to families in need—on top of our regular pantry services. A busy weekend, but every moment was worth it to help make the holiday special.

This Thanksgiving, hundreds of families in our community will have a warm meal thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers, donors, and partners.

Every month, 18% to 25% of our clients are new, while many who relied on us in 2022/23 have found their footing and no longer need to wait in line at dawn for fresh produce. We’re here to support everyone, at every step of the way.
