For my thesis film I’m really inspired by the look of photogrammetry and older Final Fantasy games with pre-rendered backgrounds…

Next semester I “start” on my thesis, though really I started brainstorming in 2022. One idea got shelved completely, then the next two got put on hold because they’re way too big in scope.

This semester I had to redesign the Nostromo based on the original script for Alien (1979). It was a pretty big challenge, but I had so much fun!

Spent way too much time learning how to adapt Spool to gmod. I used a photogrammetry app to scan my real Stop Motion puppet, then did the rigging in blender with a lot of help from classmates and tutorials. It takes a lot of work to look this glitchy!

Fun fact: Spool is very much inspired by Seam from Deltarune (which is out tomorrow but you hopefully knew that). There’s also a lot of Vivi from FF9 but I didn’t actually know about him until a couple years later.
