Made a replacement wood side panel for the reel to reel. The original particle board on the left side was totally destroyed. It's crazy I couldn't find any good contact paper locally so I had to order some online and should be here tomorrow.

Thankfully KSC1845 transistors are a modern replacement. I haven't bought anything from Digi-Key in a while but hmmm that tariff line is new. Wow yeah, foreign countries sure are paying those tariffs and not US citizens. 🙄

All cleaned up! Ahhh I friggin love this thing! Still can't believe I got this out of the garbage. I'm going to need to make new wood sides for it. The particle board is falling apart but everything else on the unit is really nice.

Oh man!!!! Amazing trash find today!!!! I've always wanted a reel to reel but they're always way too expensive. It's going to need some work but I think it's going to be a fun project.

Watched To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) tonight. Never saw it before. It is sooooo 80s and amazing. The whole movie feels like a GTA V mission. Can definitely tell this inspired the game.

Hell yeah BLADE RUNNER! The CS-80 is one of my dream synths. I did manage to get the virtual CS-80v a couple of years ago which is pretty nice. Before that I was able to get the Blade Runner sound pretty close with my MicroKorg.

Just got home from seeing the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future in IMAX. Awesome to see it on the huge screen. I even got the popcorn bucket thanks to some connections.😎
