Kenneth Walker himself forced 4.18 missed tackles per game last year which was 2nd only to James Conner. If you can get him through the box with the concepts that Klint Kubiak, his father, Rick Dennison, and Kyle Shanahan perfected, good things can happen.

Last year Kubiak's offense saw Alvin Kamara lead all RBs in targets per game (Kenneth Walker was 3rd). Two years in a row Kubiak's RBs (Kamara, CMC) have been top 3 in WR routes per game (along with De'Vone Achan & Bijan). As we mentioned, SF and MIA run a similar scheme.

Here Kubiak has 2 TEs and a fullback so the Giants cover every gap with 6 guys on the line of scrimmage. Kubiak has both TEs block down but this time the tackle pulls with the fullback leading to get an advantage - another deviation from his typical zone blocking.

When teams combat the zone run by overloading the line of scrimmage, Kubiak will mix in gap concepts. Here, he has the TE and OT crash down with a guard pulling to kick out the wide man. C Erik McCoy and LG Lucas Patrick were inactive for this game - Kamara had 112 rush yards.

Kubiak loves using pre-snap movement/motion to create a numbers advantage for his zone run looks. The covered linemen handle their matchups and the uncovered guys, including the FB and TE, move to the next level. Kamara finds the initial hole and cutback lane easily here.
