heh. to me it sounds like saying the word 'oh'. dor. whereas claw is like saying 'aw'. claw. the human brain, right? Who knows.

it's the vowels too. I think we pronounce them sort of as written, instead of just as a kind of indefinite medial vowel like dəw or cləw.
