If you do not think that this is important to talk about then /why/ did you post about it. Anyway, whatever. I do think these things are important to talk about, we should examine why our politicians do the things they do and think critically about it. Seems we've both said what there is to be said.

Truly we are in an age where the limits of electoral democracy under capitalism are in such sharp relief. We're never going to vote our way out of climate catastrophe or ending genocide. And these chucklefucks think thats laudable.

Like any good free market it relies on the government massively redistributing wealth up in the form of bailouts everytime the entire system is about to collapse. Just letting the market do its thing.

Looks like @theguardian.com doesn't even feel they need to put disclaimers on their AI articles like this contain deep conflict of interests due to their partnership w/ OpenAI. Lovely to see our nominally progressive major publications just continue to dive into being corporate shitholes.

Last physical book read. I referred to physical books once as in the flesh so now I just call them all meat books. Truly though, So Vast the Prison is a really really beautiful book.

As I continue to yell at anyone who will listen, read My Tender Matador it is an extraordinary book. Double feature it with By Night in Chile from Bolaño for two darkly funny caricatures of Pinochet.

This is incredibly tragic and cruel. I am also seeing a lot of folks talking about in a way that clearly shows they think Canadian citizenship is more valid than Salvadorian, Nicaraguan, Guatemalan, etc citizenship. Every "illegal" immigrant is a national of a country & equally deserving of rights.

I hate to recommend an audible exclusive, as I am in the process of breaking up with Amazon. But I still have audible and I'm really glad that I listened to this series before I lost access to it. I wanted to learn more about the 7 grandfather's teachings of the Anishinaabe, which this series does
