Hi! I'm still figuring this out. There's been a brain drain on X, outside of the crazy politics. I've missed reading people's expertise and thoughts on a huge range of subjects. I'm hoping to find them again here.
So yeah some of them do need a lecture. The behavior of both cars and pedestrians has gotten way more dangerous and distracted in my observations

I love bikes however some dumb college student launched themselves in front of my moving car just yesterday - nearly ruining both our lives. The 20 something set don't even look when crossing the street. Forget defensive- I'd settle for awake.

I've always loved rain best of all.

Where are you? In Northern Vermont I noticed a resurgence of them this year along with spiders and insects.

It doesn't. It seems like at last contact the OP swore at him and hung up. He was writing, inartfully to try to save the friendship and to explain that he was in pain. His political views may be heinous beyond discussion and beyond any meaningful friendship. But what he said was not.

This changed in the UK years before the US! I remember being taken aback when I visited.

That sounds like an apology to me and an olive branch to me. It's not perfect. You don't have to accept it. But that's the category of communication he offered, imo.

That is great. What about endometerial cancer ? Also woefully underfunded but never mentioned even as cases increase, as I unfortunately know first hand.

I don't have anywhere near that much money and if I did have it - I don't know that I would donate the full amount. I'd like to think that I would, of course.

Will you be donating it back to charity?

You are right that some injuries may impact those lucky long life genes, IF you have them, environmental luck and choices factor in. But articles like this bother me because if you have average genes which of course most of us do, there's nothing you can do to extend your life for this long.
July 3, 2025 at 8:37 PM
You absolutely cannot live to 100 let alone 114 without rare polygenetic factors in your favor including FOX103. In a perfect life ( whatever that is) and making every right decision you still won't live as long as this woman without the extraordinary genetic luck.
July 3, 2025 at 8:15 PM
The only way to live to 114 is to be gifted with super long life genes and extraordinary luck. If that is not the case then dying earlier would be the result of a minor character flaw or
not being idiosyncratic enough, and it's not.
