Are you planning on building your own engine as well? Whole thing ground up? I've mostly built games using web tech, Unity and Godot. I'd recommend Godot out of those three 🐢

Actually Black Screen is a Great starting point for every project. Just a window appearing is a great step. Honestly the smaller steps and benchmarks you make the tighter your code is likely to be. Small components stacking together create the best sim(or sim like) games.

I use C# for most of my projects and I remember it being annoying to setup but it hasn't bother me much since then. Wish I remembered the process for you m8 but here's confirmation it can work

I trust yah, no matter what you're building, it's already looking great. I'd already hit the bumps at top speed to try and skip track. Keep at it and share more progress when you can dude!

As a player, my sole objective would be to jump over those rails. You should add some verticality, so if I hit a hill at high speeds I could "skip" to a later section of the track

Omg I love this! I'll need to check this out tomorrow when I've got the day off. Been struggling with icons anyways and it's a great excuse to tinker with a card game I've been working on

It's okay to work when you're sick but don't bash your head against a problem. Give it a go and if you hit a wall, write down the problem and go take a break. You're sick, take time to rest, sleep, eat and enjoy your free day. Sorry you got sick dude, hope you feel better soon 💐

Omg I love that! The sounds feel great with it!

The Shader scripting looks fancy but you shouldn't need much to get a cool effect on the User. Let me know if you need help 😎

Could you tweak the shader on the Users body? Make it fade back and forth a little to seem like he's almost a part of the landscape but not quite? Currently he matches the vibe so well 😍, but that sounds like a little hint into what they're accepting. Looks amazing!

I've got a solution working with the parent handling the change, requires the scenes be preloaded into the parent. I can show the code for it if anyone wants this solution but It still doesn't feel clean enough to me. Might be crazy, this will be good enough for now.

I found the solution to this problem was to reset some of the graphics properties in the project settings to default. My laptop wasn't able to handle them. 🤷

You're all good dude, I'm new here too 😎
