So I'm *so psyched* for the Murderbot release tomorrow. Early critic reviews are sky high so naturally I had to check out the rotten reviews. This snippet made me actually lol. Congratulations, you correctly identified Murderbot's whole deal.

Caution Signs is goofy and ridiculous in the best way, and the short timer actually eliminates a lot of worry that you'll draw badly. One of my favorite gaming experiences of the year was playtesting expansion cards with @tokengaymer.bsky.social. I'm still proud of this monstrosity. 11/

The world is burning and this has felt like the month that wouldn't end, but one bright spot has been finding solace in playing games with friends. This is almost certainly my best month of in person gaming in a long time.

We have a teeny pond in our backyard (with shubunkins!). Every winter when it freezes it's fascinating to watch. Pump keeps the water flowing well below freezing, but ice gradually builds up over the running water. It's pretty.

Baked my first big cake in a while (it's been a busy year). White cake with Italian meringue buttercream. 8" 3 layer cake. Will take a small army to eat it.

@hexstardragon.bsky.social and I are at the Kraken game, on our (slow) tour of all the stadiums. This one is near the top - there's a phone app that synchronizes everyone's phone flash with the pre-game show. A+

When we adopted this cat 18 months ago, she was scared of everything & we were told she needed a quiet house. Today, we are having our bathroom floors retiled. She's cool with it.

I am so dang excited about this game. It's still in the "proof of concept" stage, but early playtests have been shockingly successful. Plus, who doesn't love baby sea turtles?!? 🎲✂️
