I think a written public case for malfeasance needs to be made explicit and endorsed by as many "good faith" lawyers, retired judges, and law professors across the nation as possible before any such measures are taken.

As bad as this sounds, what if this is partially a strategic distraction by the folks in the background, and most of the money is going to establish a "self-funding presidency"? Thus, completely eliminating reliance on Congress to appropriate funds for certain purposes? See @scott-levy.bsky.social

ActBlue is a payment processor. It does not to my knowledge solicit donations on its own.

Thank you for this response. In these times, it is tough to recall that the public is NOT powerless.

Nice article...the letter itself is a must-read. Clear, factual, damning. The positive implications of Gov-elect Spanberger's election are even greater than I had first thought.

This letter will stand as a landmark in the history of this era.

Are the Senate Democrats preparing for contingencies?
What if Trump invokes the Insurrection Act? Or disobeys a Supreme Court ruling? Or leaves office and is replaced by Vance (and his puppeteer, Thiel)?

Are you prepared? Is there a plan? Or will there simply be more strongly worded letters?

I don't pretend to understand it, but these might help inform:

1. Look into JE's intelligence connections, e.g. article by @ryangrim.bsky.social on @dropsitenews.com

2. Leverage is a more appropriate word than blackmail perhaps for now. He didn't necessarily need to formalize a quid pro quo.

The conversation is rightly focused on the President, but far more attention needs to be paid to those using him to undermine the US Constitution and the rule of law, e.g. Vought, Heritage Foundation, Thiel, and many others.

I want to be wrong, but unless I can be convinced I have no choice but to support replacing Senate leadership and will work towards that end. Please note, I do NOT equate them with the authoritarians behind the Trump Administration, but holding office is a privilege and a responsibility.

Not to minimize the impact of the closure, but you clearly fail to understand the full impact that this move had on the wider public. Senator King's public comments could not have been more foolish in this situation.
November 11, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Some Senators may have felt ending the shutdown was genuinely the right thing to do but as a group you were dishonest to us. Some were also extremely condescending (e.g. Senator Durbin).
November 11, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Senator Whitehouse, respectfully, the performance of most (but not all) of the Senate Democrats felt completely false, intended to mislead the defenders of democracy and the rule of law more than the authoritarians.
November 11, 2025 at 6:56 PM
I will act strategically to see that you are replaced by someone up to the challenge (without worsening the situation). I will use any legal tools in this effort. You have soiled your legacy. I say this with regret and sadness rather than anger; I so wanted to continue supporting you. /END

I know the real villains. I do not blame you for their evil behavior. But, you have no inherent right to hold office. It is a privilege and a responsibility that you must forfeit if you are unable or unwilling to meet the moment. 3/4

You seem to be using your ability to strategize much more vigorously against those who oppose authoritarianism than you are using it against the authoritarians themselves. You have not been forthright with us. This cynical behavior is itself dangerous. 2/4
November 10, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Sadly, I have concluded that you are not the right person to lead the opposition in this most dangerous time. You are playing the games of politics by the old rules despite the unprecedented and calculated real-world strategy employed by those trying to destroy democracy and the rule of law. 1/4
