Attention Texas researchers - if you use cloud based services for online experiments, the service needs to be TX-RAMP certified or its not allowed for data collection. TAMU IT shut down multiple labs using Pavlovia. Pavlovia is not willing to seek certification so we're out of luck. bit.ly/46tt7Eq
Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) | Texas Department of Information Resources
The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program provides a standardized approach for security assessment, certification, and continuous monitoring of cloud computing services that process the data of Texas state agencies. To get started with TX-RAMP, we've created an easy form to assist you in determining if a cloud service is in scope and requires TX-RAMP certification. Please select the appropriate form below: TX-RAMP form for state agency customers

Unfortunately, the NSF grant that supports our work has been terminated. This is a setback, but our mission has not changed. We will continue to work hard on making cognitive science a more inclusive field. Stay tuned for upcoming events.

A very helpful article from Andy Jahn - I've been teaching a hands on fMRI analysis course for a few years and the biggest hurdle is students lack of coding knowledge and/or inexperience with unix/linux. I spend too much time troubleshooting. Excited to check out neurodesk as an option.
A lack of programming experience can derail experimental aspirations. Andrew Jahn shares how new educational tools that broaden both access and ease of use for neuroimaging are helping researchers fulfill their experimental ambitions.
