Great night for Slaf. Maybe he’s now ready to drive a line. Much more mature. Perhaps his role on the top line shackled him in some ways. Too bad he can’t be a centre but he’s playing like one.

Habs have a goaltender problem. A serious problem. It just need to be said. I can’t stand watching is being undone by goaltending …. Although a few goals (and more shots) by the team would certainly help.

OK …. It’s time for a Jack Todd takedown of Gretzky. Most disingenuous rebuttal attempt I’ve seen ….. “when I’m not at Mar-a-Lago or, you know California or in Fox studios, I’m mostly a Canadian …..”. Not even the hint of an attempt to defend Walter’s Canada. Let’s go. It’s not gonna write itself.

I’m not over-reacting or overly worried. Just an observation that everything seemed to stop at the same time — if your car’s transmission, brakes and tires go at the same time, it leaves you a’wondering.
