It's a tragedy that my partner and I are musical opposites (he likes emo/metal-core & 00s rock, which are my least favourite genres, and his least favourites are my favourites: folk/singer-songwriter & 60s rock) so we don't have any music in common, let alone spicy music.

This just breaks my heart.
Doctors aren't psychopaths. They do not want to 'kill babies'. Let them self regulate the industry.
Let experts regulate the fields they are experts in, instead of reactionary politicians who don't even know the fundamental basics.

A while back I saw a popular makeup influencer doing an ad for self-driving taxis. Sadly most comments were supportive of the concept. And those who tried to educate about the dangers were ignored by her and harassed by fans.

I am a recovered opioid addict of 13 years.
Imagine if I couldn't have gotten sober, gone to school, started my veterinary career, had my son, done all the things I've done to contribute to a better world, because I died of an overdose as a teenager.
This is so wrong.

And any time there is any real push for diversity and basic respect, dignity and rights for all people, it's extremely performative and there was one hell of a battle to get there.

Psychedelic drugs can be great but they can also be extremely dangerous if you're not being safe, or not in the right headspace. There are many ways to achieve altered states of consciousness and as long as you're being safe they are all equally valid.

Taking care of your mental health is radical AF when their goal is to leave you hopeless, afraid and depressed.
And I have to remind myself of that every day, because it's an uphill battle dealing with severe anxiety even in a safer world.

Go for an errand trip with a friend and to listen to 60s protest songs on the way. It's the little things that make us feel love and bring us community joy.
