it sucks but it feels so good lol

seems the one single belt on this thing at the bottom left motor is slipping right before engaging back tension, tension band, releasing take-up reel brake, etc. too much load for this 40 year old belt.
new belt on the way. beautiful vcr. would love to have this thing working this week :)
