Today I am one year sober. Oddly, one of the things that helped me get here is an incredible show about silly gay pirates in love, and the glimmer of self compassion and kindness it gave me.

Life isn't easy sober but it is better, so here's to anything that helps 💜

sometimes i think about how Our Flag Means Death felt like a literal fucking miracle that i could never have predicted in a zillion years. few artworks have changed me on such a fundamental level.

tonight i'm thinking about the new unexpected miracles in our future. and i'm gonna hold on to that

We had a cat come into my work today (at a vets) who died yesterday at 5 minutes to midnight. I'm concerned it could see the future and opted out of 2025 😂 #veterinary #psychiccat #happynewyear
