In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done.

My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it.

I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City.

Mamdani is proof that the Abundance agenda has an inherent populist appeal: Make government more accessible and more efficient for the average person.
Zohran Mamdani stunned former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who conceded the New York City mayoral primary race to the 33-year-old state lawmaker. trib.al/KfNebEQ

I'm old enough to remember when conservatives accused women of having babies solely to receive welfare benefits. They used fictional "welfare queens" to justify cutting benefits.

I wonder what the difference is...

Taking down names of right wing men currently arguing that a domestic partner initiating the process of filling for a protective order is enough reason to send a man to a torture camp for the rest of his life.

Soooo when service workers give up looking for minimum wage jobs that don't pay for shit, "nObOdY wAnTs To WoRk AnYmOrE" but when factories in Ohio recruit immigrants to fill jobs, every right winger is suddenly in favor of workers' rights. Incredible.

Very streamlined. Much efficiency. Wow.

It's as though MAGA is embracing a nationalist approach to the economy through hostile isolationism combined with the scapegoating of groups they perceive as insufficiently loyal to the county.

I wonder if that's ever been done before.
April 8, 2025 at 2:46 AM
Maga is saying "well short term pain to ensure the prosperity of American workers is good, actually" and I want to scream WHERE WERE YOU WITH THIS ENERGY WHEN WE WERE FIGHTING TO RAISE WAGES FOR THE WORKING CLASS
April 6, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Conservatives will claim to be the party fighting for men's rights and then turn around and tell educated white collar men that they need to be more miserable.
April 6, 2025 at 6:54 PM
I feel like the key to the next chapter in the American political climate is going to be understanding why voters are willing to accept "you'll pay more in the short term but the long term gains will be worth it" when it comes to tariffs but not when it comes to raising the minimum wage.
April 6, 2025 at 5:02 PM
2024: Conservatives blame immigrants - including legal visa holders - for the housing crisis, arguing that they were creating an untenable demand that was driving up costs.
2025: Trump imposes tariffs on construction materials, increasing housing costs.

It was always about xenophobia.

Somewhere along the line, the Dems let Maga claim the mantle of being the party of the working class.

We MUST have the courage of our convictions.

Democrats Must Become the Workers’ Party Again
Reconnecting the Democratic Party to the working class is an electoral and a moral imperative, and it will be my mission for the rest of my life.

I never want to hear a man claim that "false accusations ruin lives!" Ever again. Even corroborated, credible accusations don't do shit to keep these sleezefucks out of power.

I've had to seriously re-evaluate my own personal feelings when it comes to increasing housing stock.

Development should be done with sustainability and the community in mind, but more homes means more affordability. #YIMBY
Evidence has demonstrated this effect in numerous cities now.

I understand why it sounds weird to say, 'building a bunch of fancy new townhouses and skyscrapers will make housing more affordable!' but it simply appears to be true.
So proud of the great work happening in Minneapolis, which shows that boosting housing supply helps make homes more affordable.

The pundit class has spent the past several weeks declaring that Dems lost because they're a bunch of finger-wagging rule-followers who are out of touch with the median voter.

Now they're clutching their pearls over Hunter's pardon because it violates some unwritten norms.

Die mad.

Trans people just trying to live their lives are being doxxed and clinics that provide GAC are getting bomb threats but the true victims are the transphobes who are getting criticized on Xitter.

The only reason people think that "cancel culture" is something only the left does is because every single right winger who has been "cancelled" is given a platform in the right-wing mediasphere to caterwaul about it for the rest of their careers.

Reminder that getting kicked off a platform for violating the TOS isn't "cancel culture."
