it is very late, but something just possessed me to draw this very hasty sketch about trick or treating.

i usually draw these two with patched up clothes, but this time i simplified the design to emphasise the posing and shadows, but i think i accidentally created a reason why the clothes needed patching.

i had a couple ideas for this, and at one point it was hollow knight fan art, i just couldn't find a way to make the sewing supplies fit in that world, so i took a borrowers inspired approach.

so here's a thing i just learnt about the black ink i use, it can hold up to alcohol markers just fine, but these weirdos dissolve it like acid in a sci-fi horror flick.

i lost half the day to a horrible case of motion sickness, so i rushed the colouring at the end, but i like the designs themselves which was my main goal for reasons.

maybe referring to a nuclear disaster like the demon core as a blunder is a bit insensitive, but i've said before that when i'm struggling with ideas i lean towards something eldritch, and there just is something eldritch about nuclear power.
