Succulents really pop next to red rocks. These lil guys were spotted by a trail in the BLM lands around Moab. Not sure of the ID.
I admire their resilience to grow in such inhospitable terrain.

Source: National Geographic · The thinner tree was cut years ago and the big one has been holding and feeding it since then. They "wake up" together in the spring and "go to sleep" together in the autumn.

I speak nicely to the plants in my garden. Pay them the odd compliment and they reward me with Flowers and shit.
I chat nothing but shit to the Algerian ivy that is invading all over the place.
Look at what they did to my boy. BTW That is an Aloe tree, not a ground cover 🤬
