The calls for redistribution and wealth taxes are gaining momentum. Zack Polanski / the Greens are on the right side of this argument. Labour will follow the Tories into irrelevance if they don't wake up and change their leadership.

Steel, auto, quarrying, mining, shipbuilding; I've seen them all from the inside and my abiding impression is that it's hard, dirty work with long hours for the majority of employees. Moving to automation & robotics will be fascinating.
