I look forward to when baby is a bit older.

I’d love to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr day with him in a way that is Black, focused in social justice and service.
This day also often falls on the brutalist and coldest day of the season. 🥴

With my sketchbook laid out, watercolor palette open, my hand brings a brush to the first paint when….

Well I’ll return to thus eventually.

I’ve already got the second bedroom as an office. Now it’s just cozier with a work desk and an art desk.
I still tell myself one day the baby will have this room to himself, but for now I enjoy this privilege to the fullest.
Last night I finally cleaned a space to paint. So much joy!

Of course there’s things I try, and some of these efforts can minimize the pain, or be a complete healer to other issues. Perhaps being a better contributor can be a thing here!
Plus it’s one outlet I can steal away to while holding a snoozing babe. xo

Often a lurker, here’s my hope to reach out and be more social and friendly. We as a society have to be open, honest, and supporting to being lonely. I’ve felt it a lot in recent months. It’s been a cousin to depression.

How do I feel?
Who, what, where inspires me currently?

There’s probably more to supply, but that’s good for now.

So much progress has slowed down with all projects and personal affairs. I take 10 minutes where I can.
On one hand, feels nice to strike tasks more deliberately. But there’s still procrastination and anxiety as usual.
