It’s been a long night with a fussy baby. Every 3 hours he’s woken up screaming.
He’s fed, clean diaper, and snuggled.
Unfortunately the cat wants that same kind of attention so he’s pulling out all the tricks at 5 am.

I’ve already had one overwhelmed cry. Please don’t pile on, kitty!

Parent burnout is a buzzword to encapsulate what I’m experiencing right now this week.
I’m using this early morning as a self care focus.
A little interneting, do the dishes, snuggle with kitty on the couch.

3-day holiday weekend is exhausting while caring for a baby. I just got off of holidays for Christmas and New Year’s.
Plus my husband is under the weather.

For 3 years I’ve enjoyed painting at a table in the living room, an invitation by my husband for us to do our hobbies as close together as we can.

Now with baby, everything is shifting but the nonnegotiable remain firm: mama needs her art space!

Winding down to some drawing on the couch before I get some sleep.
Got some mild food poisoning from a vegan restaurant yesterday. I took a half day to nap on the couch and care for my 6 month old baby.
