I’m gonna share this bc I love feeling pain I guess — it’s a little thing she wrote down in the front page of a dictionary she got me (to help me study the language of her country). Just to show the kind of thing I’d usually get in these packages I guess. This was in the first one.

Along with Outer Wilds (the masterpiece), we also did that for Return of the Obra Dinn — only it was my second time playing that game, though it’s the only one of the two I had any pics from. Outer Wilds was just such a special first time experience with her.

Back when we were still together and when I played Disco Elysium for the first time, I think it was when I got to this part that I really experienced a moment of prescience. Something deep inside resonated with this moment, and I think some part of me knew I’d need these emotions for later.

Just finished Scavenger’s Reign today. WOW. I thought the early episodes weren’t much plotwise. It felt like it was leaning into becoming Sci-Final Destination (which I’m sure has its audience). But man it RAMPED UP the last handful of eps. What a beautiful, intense, even thought-provoking show.
