Quality & service have an inverse relationship w/ profits, especially when the execs prioritize profits. Look at the car industry: there was a time when producing quality cars was the goal for these companies. But that has since shifted to maximize profits resulting in a significant drop in quality

While consumer AI is pretty garbage right now. The fundamental research behind it has significant implications in geopolitics and IR. The US isn't without its issues. But we can both agree that if China wins the AI research race, we would have a lot more to be concerned about.

And what about instances where the company the employees work at becomes a toxic place that could ultimately then refuse the care that the provider or independent TPA recommends?

@mcuban.bsky.social while I agree with much of what you said, there is still the fundamental concern of how the system works, where it depends on trust between the provider, and the company where the employee works. But what if this trust erodes because the provider lies?
