Aged care, NDIS, Centrelink ... all effectively outsourced to private providers. It's the entrenched view that if you need help from govt to survive you are guilty of rorting the system until proven innocent.

The opposite applies to the moneyed class (+"we'll turn a blind eye til forced not to").

The other issue that none of the reporting addresses is the ridiculous time spent by all providers in dealing with the NDIA. No other org comes close to the stupidity, bureaucracy, inconsistency, ignorance and constantly changing goal posts.

So many good things here: restitution, paying your own way, leaving prison with financial and housing stability. The next obvious step is to provide a similar program in the community to prevent crime.
