This Yellow-Crowned Night Heron visits our lake post-rain to search for toads & frogs. If he doesn't find them nearby he visits fences, as he knows where toads/frogs live and that they enjoy a rainy day as much as he does .-- at least until he finds them. Yesterday he got lucky. Today not so much.
