That play is so good, you should be rightly proud of it. Scared the pants off me and my wife when we went to see it in London last year!

Haha honestly it made me smile more than anything else!

That's very kind of you to say, thank you! Hopefully I can look at some slightly better games in 2026 😅

Must admit I've never used OS/2 (and I only barely touched NT, when I helped out with the school network). I was on Win 3.1 and DOS as a teenager, cut my teeth on AUTOEXEC.BAT and various floppy boot discs 😆

That... was bizarre!

Yeah, I was running Win 2k when I went to uni and held out for quite a while... eventually had to cave to XP because some game or other wouldn't run under Win 2k (think it might have been Return to Castle Wolfenstein)

Windows 98 was the peak Microsoft OS, for me. I also enjoyed Win 2k. XP was OK, and made certain things simpler, but I was never overly fond of its cartoonish soft corners and the way they tried to bury DOS / the command prompt.

I was very much a signed up member of the PC brigade, and was a PC first gamer all through the 90s and 2000s. I didn't get my first console until the Nintendo Wii! (I *did* have an OG Gameboy, though, and that thing was ace)

memory fades, not to mention that of our older friends and relatives, what recourse will we have for stimulating the brain to recall genuine memories? I foresee a grim future in which we can no longer tell if photos show things that were real, our connection to a past time forever lost. (3/3)

photos as a means of aiding memory, particularly as we all get older. The fact that you can now falsify photos by using AI to conjure up scenes that never happened means our trust in photography will steadily erode until we can no longer rely on it as once we did. Not only that, but as our own (2/3)

I read recently that one of Sir Terry's planned but unfinished Discworld novels was going to centre around Susan as headmistress of a school in Quirm, and I am so sad this never came to be! Susan is awesome.

They do, because we're both reading the same one 😆 But I picked Susan as the main character because she is always the main character whenever she shows up 😂

Dog shopkeepers are the ones I want.
Cat shopkeepers are probably the ones I deserve.
