i think it’s more that s3 p2 felt like pens journey in a womens fiction story than polins story in a romance, if that makes sense. which i knew going in tbh bc s2 proved the show was going more family drama than romance but. still disappointing!

i know this is the very unpopular opinion and that’s fine esp bc i do think others who prefer the book have reasons that i don’t actually agree with but here we are.

and just genuinely i think it comes down to some of the details the show lacked (aging them down, matchmaker colin, popular boy colin, pen writing LW to uplift from the very beginning) but also the execution in part 2 just wasn’t it. (colin’s jealousy, the Bitch Off, timing of the first time, ep8)
