I've been working on this for over a month to try to convey my thoughts without sounding whiny. I hope this succeeds. I would have regretted not going, and I'll be back for the long race.

I bought a 1992 mtb that had these on it, and I can’t help but wonder about the collarbones of the kids who raced on them in the early 90s

I was training for a winter ultra, so this is the only bike I currently have studded tires on. I amn’t about to install them on other bikes in March, so I’ll be riding a fatty for all of this year’s spring snows
