Pleased to see these minor changes at the junction of Wellesley Road and Lexden Road. This will make it safer and more convenient for pedestrians and cyclists.

Long term trend shows percentage of case resulting in notice of intended prosecution edging up. Reports by cyclists at record low and we know it's not because roads are getting safer.

We will be reviewing the new planning application for St Botolph's Quarter. Our concern is that this plan and the masterplan that preceded it do not address the need for people to be able to cycle north from St Botoph's to the castle and High Street.

This dangerous close pass was on Argents Lane where a cyclist was killed in a road collision one year ago. When reported to @essexpoliceuk.bsky.social the result was a warning letter. Essex Police are not serious about Vision Zero and protecting cyclists.

The new Colchester cycle map is great for showing how patchy the provision of 20mph areas is across the city.

Time to make 20mph the default with 30mph and above the exception where it's safe.
