Just got my latest VA newsletter, and holy shit. Holy fucking shit. The first headline is fucking disgusting considering how the admin has treated even career trans servicemembers, the next two are outright lies, and the fourth is stupid culture war bullshit.

The Marauder IIC was my biggest hit of the year, far and away.
First piece of the year: A pinkish-purple Phoenix Hawk with red and blue accents. This was shared on January 1st, 2025. My favorite piece of the year: Mechfall, a Grendel reposed and painted to look like it's falling into atmosphere without protection. My most popular piece of the year: A Marauder IIC painted blue-gray with light gray accents and a "crack ice" motif across its forearms and carapace. My most recent piece: All nine of these miniatures were completed at the same time, on Nov. 11, 2025. There are four combat vehicles (Schrek, Manticore, Pegasus, and Demolisher) and five 'Mechs (Ostroc, Atlas, Javelin, Guillotine, and Icarus II). All are painted olive green with dark gray tiger stripes and red accents - shoulders for the 'Mechs, left sponson on the tanks.

Oh hey, it's been almost ten years since I painted the entire Rolling Thunder company from the old scenario pack. These were all lead.

Got the perfect piece for this, a reposed one-miniature vignette I titled "Mechfall." Reentry without a DropShip is definitely hot.
Mechfall: A Grendel BattleMech is upside down, its gray and blue camo pattern being eaten away by friction and compression heating as it enters atmosphere. Its main gun glows blue-white as it takes one last shot. A rear view of Mechfall, showing its base (digitally erased in the first picture) and more of the heating effect, white-hot at the lowest points of the miniature fading through yellow and orange along the machine's body and limbs. I finished a big commission today! The customer is thrilled and I can't wait to get these in his hands.
