People say they want compromise. However:

Compromise is why the ACA has no public option.

Compromise is why we take little to no action on climate and guns and school funding.

Compromise is the reason Dems haven’t “done more” for workers.

Compromise is a means—not an end.

money is power in a very literal sense and the growth of wealth inequality *is* the coup. a monied ruling class have the motive and the resources to dismantle any democracy. their wealth is their means of procuring every weapon they will use against the public. stripping them of it is disarmament.
