This past weekend, Ali and I put up our annual Book Tree Christmas Tree. It's quite an undertaking. This year's tree used 271 of the 323 green hardcover books that we had prepared. Next year we will have to expand the tree's footprint in order to be able to fit them all in.

This is a terrific show, and more people need to see it!

Wandering the streets of Tallinn after visiting the Christmas Market, we came upon a park that stood between us and our bus back to the hotel. Gave us a chance to show that Ali is a butterfly, and I am a peacock.

Nothing terribly amazing, but I really like this sort of teabag from the brand Ronnefeldt, apparently.

Entering the last week of rehearsals for "Innkeepers' Christmas", the holiday touring show I'm directing for Taproot Theatre. I've loved working with these three actors. I don't have a list of the public performances yet, but once I do, I'll post it here.

I made a knife today! "Forged in Fire", here I come! ... well, maybe not. But it was fun, and it will cut.

Tomorrow is the start of Latitude Theatre's next project. Here are a couple of gifts I got from my designers at the end of our last project.

After a few years of doing everything digitally (exempting a brief time trying a Passion Planner), I'm back to doing things old school. Time to get organized again the Franklin Planner way.

Sacramento has been a treat this far this weekend. Last match of pool play is the afternoon. Cross your fingers that we get into the B or C brackets, and not D. I don't want to have an 11:45pm draw. That would end at 1:45am. I love this sport. I don't love the idea of leaving the rink at 2am.

The 11th anniversary is the Steel Anniversary. We will be learning to make knives at Lawless Forge (www.lawlessforge.com) on Sept 17. A horseshoe knife feels right. After all, on our actual anniversary, I'll be at opening night of "Last Drive to Dodge" at Taproot Theatre (www.taproottheatre.org).
