#HillfortWednesday Distant view of Sidbury Hill which dominates Salisbury Plain East of the River Avon. An exposed place, capped with Reading Formation geology. It forms the focus for a number of Bronze Age linear ditches.

#StandingStoneSunday @drtobydriver.bsky.social Easy of access, the shapely standing stones at Penrhosfeilu (almost) frame the peak of Mynydd Twr if you look NNW. We stopped by after completing the coast path of the W side of Anglesey last month (recommended!).

I only ever saw this sort of sky in paintings (much of it eccliasastical), with cherubs filling the sky with music from trumpets...but last week it appeared on our last morning in Lucca! 🙂
