EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

I came to the Capitol, ready to be sworn in and get to work for the people of Southern Arizona. Instead, Speaker Johnson chose to delay, denying our community the representation we deserve.

TCP packets are so polite that they shake hands with each other before transferring data. They also say "bless you" when another packet sneezes. UDP packets, on the other hand, just scream their data into the void and hope someone's listening. It's the "yolo" of networking protocols 😂

This fella says I'm "too tightly wrapped" bc I spent 4 years learning actual facts of the Jan6 investigation from court filings and he, instead, badly misread one speech.

Boys literally never tire of dismissing labor from women.
Maybe you are too tightly wrapped. His own quote

We build investigations by laying a foundation. We resolve more straightforward cases first because they provide the evidentiary foundation for more complex cases.

Banksy's mural shows a protester on the ground holding a blood-spattered placard, while the judge, in a wig and gown, looms over them wielding a gavel.

When the government tried to summarily deport dozens of migrant children to Guatemala last weekend, DOJ’s Drew Ensign said the following to a federal judge:

“All of these children have their parents or guardians in Guatemala who are requesting their return."

It's pretty much mandatory at work that I appear to be using it, so I've doe a few functional things with it, and it's a moderate time-saver if used right. But nowhere near worth it's stock value, energy cost.

Then I realize there's a lot of people who simply can't write coherent paragraphs.

Totally insane story from The Information: NVIDIA (an investor in Lambda) is now their biggest customer. Lambda recently raised $500m in debt to buy GPUs, secured using the GPUs it already owns.

Venezuela to Texas by boat is a min of 1,100 miles. A small 1200 HP boat is max 60 mph. 18 hour min travel time 1-way. Gas use around 3000 gallons 1-way.

I am not sure I believe even any element of Trump's claims.

Also a lot of older accounts (with lots of followers) on Bluesky remain committed to accessibility and won’t like/repost images that don’t have alt text.

So if you’re an artist hoping to expand your reach one of the easiest things you can do is add alt text!
Fun fact: adding alt text to your image makes your post more discoverable than any hashtags you pile in. Because when people search for posts - search includes alt text.

True garbage right from the top. What an unbelievable asshole.
Trump: "People go into war, think they're gonna win the war, then they get their asses kicked & they lose their country and lose millions of lives. Nobody goes into a war thinking they're gonna lose. I'm sure Ukraine thought they were gonna win. You're gonna beat somebody that's 15 times your size"
