A somewhat silly thought experiment addendum to this:

why haven’t we had solidarity with robots? Advocated for maximum work hours, mandatory inspections and wear part replacement? ethical robot replacement, retraining and retirement?

We’d be in a better place if we did, it’d be in our interest.

Can you imagine a world where the entire US Steelworkers union from the 60s and 70s dropped all work and went over (at the invitation of the workers) to protest the working conditions of people in Overseas factories? Just completely crippled a company’s ability to work on two continents?

These idiots are STILL treating this like a team sport where their team is perfect.

We keep yelling about the male loneliness crisis and focusing on everything except the harms the system itself is causing. If teen boys don't get mirrors for masculinity, and other kids don't get windows and sliding glass doors, then we're doing kids of all gender identities a major disservice.

I’m of the opinion that they do it because they literally cannot conceive of consequences for someone of their social status- and to be fair, they’re mostly right. Just not this time.
