Annoying about coffee. DM me indie games with retro graphics.
Thanks for this. I feel the exact same way and this helps me explain why with good words

Incredibly dynamic and clean look. Felt like a quantum leap in that "anime influenced" direction that Pixar was moving in when they did Luca and Red

Well, then it's a good thing infinite growth is a sustainable business goal, right?

Maybe you intended this, but I felt it was about a LOT more than TB lol

FWIW I find all of Apple's "personal privacy" rhetoric on AI to be a smokescreen. You can't use training as a surveillance thing anyway, it's just processing billions of weights into a blackbox.

My problem with genAI is the investment in it, not that it once sniffed *my* DMs or whatever.

For *personal* privacy, Apple is talking a big game about protecting that, but they're still training LLMs on synth and anonymized aggregate data, so it isn't ethically "AI vegan," one could say.

That said, there's an opt-out for using your data to train (except for bug reports), for now.

Also, to make it more circular in the middle I had to adjust the angle between each string's start and end points based on the start point's normal angle to the wall. Unintuitive result.

Here's the sim placing strings based on raycasts.

I'm using this as a template to place nails in the real-life installation and tie a string between them.

...this is gonna take forever.

There really is something about skeumorphism's erosion over time that's playing a part in feeling like software is getting worse

You're looking at the hit classic "Grand Theft Auto" developed by DMA and published by Take 2 Interactive

It's infuriating to me because they could fund like 100+ indies for the cost of some of these AAA live service attempts. Imagine the ROI if even a handful are mega hits.

They've created an industry market that sucks for them, their devlopers, AND their consumers. No one is winning and this sucks.
