Annoying about coffee. DM me indie games with retro graphics.
I have zero reach, but: does anyone have any great examples of interactive or reactive art, or artists? I mean *art art*, like in public spaces or museums.

Just trying to expand my mental collection. There's probably a ton I haven't seen yet.

If I were Yuki Tsunoda, I'd set up a wacky car swap "accident" during a practice session to finally know what the hell they're doing to Max's car. Dude was fastest on straights in quali, but losing 0.5s in slow corners.

The "mouse pointer at max sensitivity" explanation isn't lining up for me.

There's something about this DEEP isometric angle that I find so engaging
Just thought I would share a few screenshots from the world we are building. I've posted these before, but heyyyy they are cool.

If you want to see more of these, let me know!

Unity weirdness: say you want to make a spritesheet from a jpeg where alpha comes from greyscale.

Importing it as a sprite/multiple has no greyscale alpha option,

but,

if you switch the asset to a texture, set it to greyscale alpha, then switch it back to a sprite, the alpha is applied. Huh.

Having watched Rocket Power as a kid, I'm still viscerally incapable of wearing socks and sandles for fear of being a shoobie.

Had to go back to Windows on my main laptop for work convenience (ugh).

It's killing me to be back, but I spent this morning getting it usable. Turns out with some work it's possible to have a Windows machine that doesn't make me want to uninstall my life from this earth.

The "Dire Wolf De-extinction" thing is giving me a big red flag to Colossal's honesty.

Ethics of gene stuff aside, saying "we genetically engineered a synthetic large mammal species based on grey wolves" is wild, actually.

So why straight-up lie that they revived dire wolves?

In Unity trying to plan out physical sculpture. Right now I'm trying to solve a double helix spiral made of strings that I'll be placing in a 10ft half of a shipping container.

Using a game engine as a 3D simulation sandbox is really handy.

This is awesome news. In general, the move towards publishing in the sub-AAA space is a fantastic idea.

Gimme some accounts to follow, I need to build my feed. Anyone cool but special interests are: game dev (esp indie devs), coffee, gunpla, vintage tech, and radical leftist terrorist organizations

Okay, going to actually use this site now. Backing up some old stuff and deactivating the old one.

I'm at Snakes & Lattes, in Toronto, which is open until 2am and is a full bar. Just came in alone, chilling, grabbed a beer, and started coding on my laptop (there's an outlet!)

Awesome. More places should be like this. A new way to "go out" in the city on a Saturday night.

Just failed to Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V some text twice so I copy pasted with the right-click menu as if it's in trouble and I'm using it's full legal name.
