Psychologists say taking the time to thank ourselves for the qualities that carried us through life can be healthy and important, even if doing it feels awkward.
Remember to give thanks to yourself during the holidays and beyond
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we have to be grateful for. The list often includes the loved ones, food and shelter that may surround us during the holidays.

It’s domestic violence awareness month — domestic violence isn’t only between intimate partners. It’s a pattern of power and control between any members of a family or household, including roommates, and it isn’t only physical or sexual. It can also be emotional, mental, technological, &financial.

The Savant is a show about a woman who infiltrates white supremacist groups online in order to help stop them. It’s based on a real person who does exactly that. It was supposed to be released tomorrow. Apple TV pulled saying it’s “not the time”. Tell Apple they’re wrong. #Releasethesavant

SO happy to share the cover for my debut novel, RAVISHING💄💉✨! It's a perfect look for a book about the beauty industry, trauma, chronic illness, and being brown.

Huge thanks to @roxanegay.bsky.social, @groveatlantic.bsky.social and the incredible designer, Kimberly Glyder!

The Eaton fires destroyed a youth care facility my friend worked at. They had no time to pack, and everything is lost.

Please help support them if you can. These children and teen were ALREADY vulnerable before the fires.

The trouble with “there’s no time for fear” is that a traumatized nervous system can be stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn regardless of what there’s time for. You need nervous system resilience to be able to take action.
