With the US Supreme Court last night issuing a temporary stay, pausing the lower court ruling demanding SNAP payments be distributed, a reminder that as recently as Sept 30 these payments from the contingency fund were Trump administration policy. Until something changed.

The first wave of flight cancellations ordered by the Trump administration in response to the government shutdown hit airports across the U.S. on Friday, foreshadowing what could be wider disruptions in air travel if Congress does not reach a spending deal soon.
